Our Centre practice and principles are guided by the National Early Years Learning Framework and the Victorian early Years Framework. We understand that every child has their own learning style, strengths and interests, through the EYLF we encourage children to explore, imagine and interact socially through play-based learning. We work collaboratively to ensure best practice and maintain a strong and positive team environment. By being passionate and enthusiastic educators, we continue to extend on our knowledge and skills, while valuing and learning from each other’s strengths and knowledge.
Our educator Franny is beginning a fitness journey for our whole centre. Each week Franny will incorporate various forms of movement including, dance, gymnastics, rhythm and movement, yoga, meditation, obstacle courses, group games, singing and strength building games. This program aims to support all children to build a strong identity, wellbeing and build a sense of community as they learn vital life skills of being a team player, communication, perseverance at a task, being resilient in times of frustration and new learning, ability to follow instructions, building hand and eye coordination, balance and independence skills.
Here at Quality Kids childcare and Kindergarten we are excited to be working alongside Deaf Hub Bendigo to implement an Auslan (Australian Sign Language) program across the whole service. We currently have two educators who have achieved their certificates 2 and 3 in Auslan and this program will support all the educators, children and families to be inclusive of supporting our deaf and hard of hearing community.
